Design Infinite Possibilities - Key Visual of 2021 Annual China Designers Conference & 2nd Erdos Creative Design Week

How many options are there for design? The answer is countless. The most important thing for a work to be good or bad, besides the designer's professional knowledge, is the designer's thinking, and the latter determines the ceiling of the design. Any professional rules are limited, and it is every designer's dream to create infinite possible works within the limited rules. Where does the thinking of design originate? The answer is from the text, Here is a saying: "faithful to the text, empathy and sympathy", any design should be centered on the text, only to achieve a perfect fit between the form and content of the design is good design, any design away from the text, the form is good again is also a fist embroidery. Therefore, reading the text is the first and the most important step of design. The text is "2021 China Designers Conference and the 2nd Ordos Creative Design Week 2021up", firstly, extract the key words "China Designers Conference", "Ordos ""2021up". Based on the text, start brainstorming, when the breadth of your thinking determines the height of your design. The elements that can be associated from the designer conference are the software of graphic design, tools (eraser, straw, pen, etc.) and the interface of the software (text box, mosaic background, anchor points, etc.); the elements that can be associated from Ordos are grassland, cattle, sheep, horses and Mongolian elements (yurt, tattoo, hada, etc.); the elements that can be associated from the meaning of up are arrows, triangles and all sharp shapes. Around these three major aspects, it is possible to just design 3+ kinds of programs. The elements are there, the next step is to flesh out the elements into graphics. Due to my limited level, only as a throwing out a minnow to catch a whale. Please show your ocean of design talent like the masters!
The first design expands with the arrow as an element. The most common arrow is made up of two parallelograms mirrored vertically, and after drawing the arrow, I thought of how to use this shape to form words. So I used it to make the words "Design Week". Now the text is there, what about the graphics? I couldn't figure it out, but suddenly I saw the negative space of the word "Design Week", which is a graphic, right? The outline of the negative space of the word "set" vaguely resembles the lock pattern, and the three heads of the lock pattern are the three arrows. The basic graphic elements, the next thought of the yurt consists of a cylinder and cone, cone is also a sharp shape, so a triangle in AI 3d around the turn into a cone, and then the lock pattern set as a pattern to this cone, so there is a three-dimensional feeling, but this graphic performance is not very strong, try to copy, rotate and other means, this is the main visual The shape of the kite is also composed of many triangles, and the head can also be used as an arrow. When the kite is copied and rotated again, a butterfly appears.
The second design was developed in the direction of "designer", associating elements such as graphic design software, tools (eraser, straw, pen tool, etc.) and software interface (text box, mosaic transparent background, anchor points, etc.). Since "2021up" is composed of numbers and letters, it is easier to geometricize it and add mosaic transparent backgrounds and anchor points to form the main visual elements.
The third design is developed in the direction of "Ordos", which naturally reminds people of grassland, cattle, sheep, horses and Mongolian elements (yurt, tattoo, hada, etc.). So we made the font like the shape of yurt. How to concretize the elements such as cows, sheep and horses? I couldn't imagine if I were to use the figurative cows, sheep and horses as graphics, so I had to geometrize them, and I saw different animals spelled out in jigsaw puzzles, so I spelled out these animals in jigsaw puzzles, and geometrized the yurt, and added the Mongolian motifs and hada elements to form the main visual element.
